4PM. He gets really upset as the number is left unanswered. He goes uneasy with every single thing, he stops helping at the volunteer work and he eventually leaves the place. He dials and dials and he suddenly throws the phone away. His heart beats faster that he feels like punching someone in the face. She never left his calls for too long.
The car is parked near the beach where both of them regularly visit together. He stares on the dashboard; the small red velvety box sits there still. His heart throbs as he think the way he will do the pose. She has been asking him for a marriage since too long and only now can he fulfil her wish. He just can’t wait to meet her and her smile, her laugh. Her brightest smile for sure. He keeps picturing her face in his head. Exhale.
He turns on the radio to keep himself calm. She’ll call in a minute. He keeps telling himself.

27th July

7.30AM. She wakes up earlier than usually that morning, knowing she’s going to have a big day ahead. She jumps out of her bed and walks to the window, peak the curtain and smiles to the rising sun. It’s still a bit dark outside, ivory blues sky is crawling to fade and the first light comes to her dark brown eyes.

Her mind is sorting out her schedule for the day while she hums a song He is We sang by All About Us and Owl City. He loves that song. He. That one young man who she believes has a great taste of music she admits to herself.

She walks down to the kitchen. She better gets the cake done before 10. Her mind reminds that as she’s going to meet him today. She feels excited as she works on the chocolate cake she has been wanted to bake for him. Everything seems perfect that she doesn’t make any mistake. She finishes the cake with a slightly sweet chocolate topping with a heart decoration.

10AM. Now she’s all done. She puts on her rose printed short dress gifted by him with a ballerina shoes she just bought yesterday. She bought it for the date. She runs down to her red Chevrolet car gifted by her dad where she even requested for a special registration number WJJ 9099 for his first capital. She places the cake at the passenger seat, and her blood rushes up to her head. She gets too excited that she drives fast.

She’s meeting him soon. To gift him a surprise visit as she knows that he has a charitable volunteer work to be done and he can’t make it bringing her on a romantic date. She was upset but that’s the man she loves, a responsible young man who cherishes people’s lives, the poors and the in-needs, the kids and the unfortunates.

She remembers their first met when they were studying together. She remembers that every time they went out, she knew he couldn’t simply walk by an unfortunate handicap beggar without a slightly pity in his eyes, and he hardly made a pass by without handling a least a dollar. She doesn’t do that often. But she loves this man, she loves that he has the purest heart she could ever tell.

BAMMM!!
